French (Modern Foreign Languages) Intent

At Moorland, we use the "Mr French" Languages curriculum to enable our pupils to learn the key language skills in Key Stage 2. We understand that learning another language is a crucial part of belonging to a multi-cultural society. We aim to foster our pupils' curiosity and deepen their understanding of the world. We provide opportunities for pupils' to express their ideas, thoughts and opinions in another language and to understand and respond to others speaking in conversation with them. It allows pupils to communicate for practical purposes and to equip them for work or study in other countries.
