Platinum Jubilee Art Gallery

The Moorland Jubilee Gallery

We have created a collection of notable, influential and worthy people from across the British Commonwealth who have achieved great things during the lifetime of HM the Queen.

Our Jubilee gallery of artwork has been influenced by the pop art movement, which began in the early 1950s.

We know that there are many worthy people missing from our collection! However, we have tried to create a broad selection of achievers and influencers from across all aspects of modern British and Commonwealth history.

In light of Milton Keynes having been awarded City Status, we are particularly proud to have included Mr. Derek John Walker, the chief architect and planner of Milton Keynes, where, despite only being 50+ years old, the shopping centre is a Grade II listed building!

Love them or hate them, all our subjects have contributed something significant to our society during the lifetime of Queen Elizabeth II.

A group of our Year 1 children visited the Moorland Family Centre to perform some dance routines they learned and played some music!
